This evening, on a show called, Rules of Engagement, a woman introducing herself as a "social worker" interviewed a woman in the ER whose husband accidentally hit her.  It was a comedy routine, etc., but the worker was incompetent and unprofessional.  She was particularly inappropriate when when she called the husband a SOB (used words).  Doesn't the Association respond to these kinds of defamatory depictions?

Like you said, it was a comedy, so things were exaggerated It's not intended as a realistic depiction of the social work profession.
